The Seagull ~ saw the light 120 years ago in Melikhovo, the country estate of Anton Chekhov, in a small guest house that survived to this day.
Our performance, staged for the first time at The Seagull birthplace ~ Melikhovo, will start exactly from this small house.
We invite theatergoers to join us on a journey in space and time.
The audience of the play will visit “a magic lake”, walk in the open space, step on an abandoned croquet field, see a carriage house and finally will find themselves in... where live theatrical scenery, costumes, stage-properties of nostalgic action in the estate will prove to be exhibits at the modern Museum interactive display.
