A play The Museum informative adventure for the whole family "Expedition M"
About the project
The First Adventure.
Our vivid interactive exhibition "The Game" will introduce you to the history of the most popular children's Board games. Here you will learn about children's favorite games of a hundred or even two hundred years ago, you will find out what today’s games followed their predecessor namely "Pusel" and "Guski" and why in the 19th century, children were forbidden to play the game of Lotto, as well as many other interesting things. On a huge floor map of the Russian Empire you will create your own “exploration game” on the basis of A. P. Chekhov's trip to Sakhalin. You will learn many interesting details about wanderings and travelers of the 19th century. Moreover you will discover the reasons that prevented the young heroes of Chekhov's story The Boys and later the writer, to get to America.
The Second Adventure.
Having armed yourself with knowledge about games and travel, you will be able to join a sportive Search Party to explore the Chekhov’s estate. Each family team will get an envelope with two sets of cards: images of Melikhovo places of interests and their description. Your task will be ~ to find these places according to the descriptions and compare them with pictures.
To do this you will need: a team unity, team spirit, determination, quick eye and a sense of humor.
At the end of the expedition you will collect the real Melikhovo "Estate Lotto", which later you can use to play with your family and friends many times.
In the future you will be able to make up similar Lotto games about any of your own travelling.
